Guadalupe Peak

Located in Guadalupe National Park, Guadalupe Peak, is the highest point in Texas at 8,749 feet. Over Thanksgiving weekend in November of 2001, Tony and I decided to do a road trip out to Ciudad Juarez, Mexico, a border town that is sister cities with El Paso Texas in west Texas. I climbed my first mountain that weekend. It was an unbelievalbe sense of accomplishment that finally allowed me to understand words that I have heard uttered for many years...Because it's there!

Check out the Pictures!!! Journals: Nov. 21-22 The Drive, the hike and the arrival in Juarez
Nov. 23-24 Carlsbad Caverns, Club 33, and a new Mexican celebrity
