The Panama Canal

Back in Panama City finally!

We know how to color coordinate our outfits

We visited the Panama Canal

This is a good clear shot in the difference in water levels between the locks

Looking past the final lock towards the Carribean

This shot is looking back towards the west

The boats that go through are HUGE!

Get ready for a tantilizing action sequence

The boats can only be driven through the canal by special "Canal Captains"

These small engines stabilize the boats as they go through the canal

The water level shifts 20 feet between the locks

The locks are opening...

And still opening

It takes 8 hours for boats to get through the canal

And there it goes!

This boat paid a toll of $67,000 USD. Slightly more than you might find in the ashtray or center console

Cool picture, even though Jodi's eyes are closed

Hugo was cool enough to bring us to the canal. Thanks man!

Admiring the canal from afar

This is the only bridge that spans the canal

If you look close, you can see the city in the distance

Final picture looking out towards the city
